Requirements Footwear & clothing suitable for a winter cross country event. Landranger 186/7 or Explorer 145/6, compass & torch if likely to finish after 1630.
Walk details

A challenge walk (or run) of circa 30miles (or 20 miles) on Surrey footpaths and bridleways with MINIMAL support in weather conditions which may be adverse, so only strong walkers (runners) should take part. Minimum age of entrants is 14yrs on the 20 mile route and 16 yrs on the 30 mile route. Entrants under 16yrs on the day of the event must be accompanied by a named adult (over 18yrs) at all times.

Checkpoints There will be 2 checkpoints on the 20 mile route & 3 on the 30 mile route each providing drinks & biscuits. Participants are advised to carry spare food/drink
Route devised by John Westcott and as usual will again be a new route
Start 0730 to 0930 but fast walkers must start after 0800 and runners after 0830
Finish book in will cease at 1900 - later finishers can phone number on route description to record their finish time
Entry Fee £2.00 (£2.50 non-LDWA) up to 4th January. On the day all £5.00. Under 18s £1 at all times. Please note that on the day entries will be available subject to an overall event limit of 500.
